Soil moisture technology innovator, AquaSpy Group, has won a State Government CleverGreen Innovators to Watch Award for the best clean technology product in South Australia.
The award was announced at the State Government’s CleverGreen Conference at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
“This is a wonderful achievement for the AquaSpy team and clear recognition of the great advances being made in the area of information technology to save communities water,” says AquaSpy Group Business Development Manager, Peter Moller.
“SA is at the forefront of these advances and many companies, like AquaSpy Group, are taking their technology to the world.”
AquaSpy also received recognition from the private sector with a KPMG Excellence in Cleantech Award which will help the firm participate in the Banksia Environmental Awards later this year.
AquaSpy’s range of smart water technologies have been proved to save up to 70% of the water used in outdoor use across sectors including agriculture for food and beverage production and urban environments.
The firm’s wireless sensors have been deployed throughout North America and Australia’s irrigation districts, cities and towns. Using AquaSpy, growers and managers can see how much water they are using and, with remote access to the data, analyse the amount of water they need to use and ensure they save water together with improving agriculture productivity and urban aesthetics.
